Help! Superman!

Brooklyn's Here
What happens when the sound goes out at the Bryant Park Summer Film Festival's showing of Superman? Why, the audience provides a do-it-yourself soundtrack, complete with sound effects, of course. Sadly, I didn't start videoing until the best of the shouted "Boom!"s, "Crash!"es, and "Heeelp! Superman!"s were over, just before the picture went out as well.

Holy cow, that is loud. I love that in the midst of the booing (after the picture goes out) you can hear someone just cackling away.

Oh man, that sounds AWESOME. What a great time that must have been.

Haha! What fun!

Fun! I think I would rather have the sound go out and fun audience interaction than to see the movie like normal. Hee!

We had the best of both worlds. The sound glitch lasted only a minute or so, and after a couple of minutes the picture and sound came back and stayed for the rest of the film.

Our midnight showing of the X-Files suddenly went black during the second half of the movie and was out for a few minutes. It was kind of nice to look around and voice our reactions to what we had seen so far.

I was about to ask if they ever fixed it! But that was hilarious. Glad the audience had a good sense of humor.

Awesome! The sound effects came out much better on your video than mine.

Man, it was so much fun. Good times. I hope they have something equally fun next summer.

Yes. Just next time some kind of super low chair and a butt cushion.
